The FDA has not established a maximum contaminant level for calcium carbonate, calcium, magnesium or potassium. pH is a measure of water’s alkalinity/acidity. The range of the pH scale is 0 to 14, with 0 representing a completely acidic solution and 14 representing a completely alkaline solution. A completely neutral solution therefore has a pH of 7.0. The FDA allows water to have a pH range of 6.5 to 8.5, while Crystal Rock water has a pH of 7.1.
